WEEK after week I sound surprised when I make reference to it being another tough week, when realistically it's time to realise that is what we need to expect in what has been one of the toughest eight-week stretches in Fantasy history. The main point to remind yourself is that everyone is experiencing the hits, so push through and look forward to a change of luck!

Fantasy Pig

One criteria for a Fantasy Pig is a players ability to continually hit 110+. This weeks nomination, Zach Merrett certainly knows how to do that with six out of his eight scores this year ticking that box, including an impressive four over 120. This week he faced the Roos, who have been tough to score on this year, but Merrett made it look like a walk in the park with 36 possessions, six marks and eight tackles for a season-high 143.

Fantasy Prestigiacomo

The danger with showing your potential is the high expectations that follow. For that reason, Max Gawn cops a reality check after scoring just 59 against the Dogs. He still managed 42 hit-outs, but unfortunately his possession count was well down with just six and the most disappointing column was his tackle count, registering just one for the match. Hopefully the big guy bounces back hard next week, so opposition talls are once again fearing the beard.

Piglet

What an outstanding debut by young Giant Jacob Hopper, who carried his NEAFL debut straight into the big time with 32 possessions and five marks for 97. Unfortunately, due to his inflated price, he is certainly not a walk-up selection, especially given he played the Suns who gave up seven triple figure scores.
