Matt says: After each round, the four members of the match committee rate the best players with a score out of four. There is no limit to the number of players who can receive votes. The maximum amount of votes a player can receive per round is 16. In 2009, the top five were Aaron Davey (82 votes), Brent Moloney (69), Cameron Bruce (56), Matthew Bate (47) and Nathan Jones, Colin Sylvia and Matthew Warnock (44).

Matt says: Glad you enjoyed it! Club historian Lynda Carroll, who has a wealth of knowledge on Melbourne, has started writing ‘Where are they now?’ stories for melbournefc.com.au. As well as Nathan Brown, she also wrote a piece on Hassa Mann recently. Expect one next week …
DVD premierships
Garry Dunn
Matt says: I have checked with club historian Lynda Carroll about this. She said: “to the best of my knowledge, there is limited last quarter footage available of the 1964 grand final. Some of that footage is on the DVD ‘It’s a Grand Old Flag’. I have heard that there might be more material available, but have not sighted it myself. It would certainly be a ‘must watch’ if it did in fact turn up. At least with what is available at present, we get to see the victory actually happening!” Retail manager Tom MacDonald also said he had checked with ‘Name a Game’, which has titles from 1965.
