MELBOURNE has included Cale Morton and Rohan Bail for Sunday’s clash against Fremantle at Subiaco Oval.
With Jack Trengove (hip) forced out of the side on Thursday night, the Demons also opted to leave out young defender Kyle Cheney on Friday, making way for Morton and Bail to return.
Morton, who missed much of the first half of the season with a knee injury, has played the past two matches for the Scorpions.
Bail will be aiming to play his first match since round four, after an interrupted season with quadriceps and hand injuries.
Coach Dean Bailey flagged post-match after Melbourne’s win against Essendon last round that players suited to Subiaco would come into the equation. The duo certainly has the running attributes for the long Subi ground.
The interchange consists of Joel Macdonald, Paul Johnson, Bail and Morton.
Cheney, Matthew Warnock and Addam Maric are now the emergencies.
Warnock has also been out of the side since round 13, while Maric remains on the cusp of selection.
Melbourne skipper James McDonald, who was rated a 50/50 chance to play this weekend, will miss again.
The 33-year-old has been battling a hamstring injury and has not played since round 11 against Carlton.
Melbourne will be aiming for its second consecutive win and sixth victory in 2010.
The Demons will also be looking to end a six-year losing streak at Subiaco Oval, having not won there since defeating Fremantle in round 11, 2004.
