FIRST quarter

Melbourne started in positive fashion when Mitch Clark, on the back of an equal career-best five goals, kicked the first goal of the match.

Ty Vickery answered for the Tigers, which was the start of four in a row for the yellow and black. Brad Miller’s first late in the term put Richmond up by 20 points.

But when Jeremy Howe kicked Melbourne’s second at the 30-minute mark, the deficit was reeled back to 13 points at quarter-time.
