Who is the insider? Is it a Melbourne player, a member of the coaching staff or someone from admin? Is it a combination of all? Regardless, the insider will give Melbourne supporters a light-hearted look at the goings on at the club this week

Who’s the Twit?
Col Sylvia has recently joined the world of Twitter. But for a while there, someone made a fake Twitter account for Col. It’s believed messrs Dunn, Hughes, Meesen and Petterd were among the prime suspects.

Cale’s mortar
It appears Cale Morton is more than a handy footballer. In fact, young Cale has turned handy man around his home. So much so, he has been pretty chuffed with his efforts as he builds a new deck at home. Progress is slow, but Cale has been chipping away at the backyard deck, so he can entertain and enjoy the outdoors more regularly. Receiving tips from handyman - and head club masseur - Ron Griffiths, Cale has been working alongside his brothers and friends to complete the project.

Hungry lads
The new cafe at AAMI Park has been getting plenty of use by the boys. Brent Moloney laps up the soup, Col Sylvia loves the fruit salad and big Jake Spencer is smashing plenty of toasted sandwiches! Daniel Hughes loves his coffee, big ‘Russian’ Jamar doesn't mind the yoghurt and Jordie McKenzie gets into the salad rolls! Great food!

Watch out Riv … here’s Russian!
Jared Rivers is a bit of a character and likes to banter with the boys. Rumour has it a few years ago Mark Jamar and Rivers were sparring at boxing practice, when the big Russian gave Rivers a beauty to the scone. It resulted in Riv stumbling and becoming a bit wobbly. Now whenever Rivers pushes his backline mates too far, all they have to say in return is: “We’ll get Rush onto ya!”

Hmm … no noise, no ‘Beamer’!
Silence was in AAMI Park on Monday and Tuesday when ‘Beamer’ Moloney was held back in Perth, after copping a corky against Freo last Sunday. Although the peace and quiet was good, once the big fella was back, it was great to have his vibrant energy back. And the boys welcomed him with open arms! His presence is really positive and he’s such an influential leader.
