MELBOURNE has confirmed it raised more than $800,000 at Wednesday night’s Foundation Heroes, after some late donations were added to the initial tally.

On Wednesday night, the Demons raised $758,901, but that figure has since been adjusted after further members of the red and blue faithful gave generously to the cause.

The fourth annual Foundation Heroes, this year held at Myer Mural Hall, focused on raising money so that the club can pay 100 per cent of its Total Player Payments (TPP).

It was a successful night all round for the club, with the Demons also announcing some key signings.

Outstanding young midfielder Jack Trengove signed a contract extension until the end of 2015, while Luke Tapscott has signed until the end of 2014.

Max Gawn has agreed to a two-year deal for 2012-13, and rookies Michael and Daniel Nicholson have signed one-year rookie list deals for next year.
