MELBOURNE fans have continued their incredible support of the club, contributing more than $280,000 to the Proud to Belong, Proud to Give fundraising campaign in just five days.

The initiative, which was launched last Thursday in response to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, aims to combat the expected $5M impact of the pandemic.

With three ways to support the club, the Demons have received the biggest backing through cash donations – over $186,000 has been raised through this stream alone for the Red and Blue foundation.

Members and supporters who are yet to donate, but wish to prior to midnight on June 30, will be eligible for a tax deduction on their donation. All donations over $2 to the club’s Red and Blue foundation are tax-deductible and a receipt of the donation will be sent to donors via the Australian Sports Foundation.

Melbourne’s Proud to Belong guernsey, which was released alongside the program, has also generated plenty of excitement.

The exclusive jumper, which is inspired by a pre-season guernsey from the late 1990s, gives Demon fans the chance to have their name sewn into the iconic red and blue design.

Players will then wear the special guernsey for a game during the 2020 season.

With strong interest from the outset, fans are encouraged to secure their spot before it’s too late. All orders must be placed through The Demon Shop by midnight on July 12.

For supporters who are yet to get on board this season, Melbourne has also rolled out a special Armchair membership deal for $85. By signing up in 2020, fans can receive a free 3-game upgrade for the 2021 season.
