INS – Pickett, Windsor, Spargo, Turner
OUT – Lindsay (inj.), Johnson, Billings, Howes (omitted)
KYSAIAH Pickett will play his first game of the 2025 AFL season selected to face Geelong on Friday night.
The livewire Demon hasn’t featured in Melbourne’s side this year due to a three-match suspension handed down after the final round of last year’s fixture.
He’ll come into the team to add speed and energy as they look for their first win of the year.
Pickett was named alongside three further inclusions with Caleb Windsor, Charlie Spargo and Daniel Turner named in the final 23.
Windsor returns to the team after a foot infection ruled him out of the last two games. The hard-running youngster will provide quick rebounding ability across the wing and halfback.
The Friday night game will be a particularly special night for Spargo, who is set to run out for his 100th time in the red and blue.
Having first arrived at the Dees in 2017, Spargo has become a well-loved Melbourne person, most memorably being a part of the 2021 AFL premiership.
Turner has earned a call-up from the VFL after a dominant display last weekend where the tall forward kicked a whopping five goals.
Xavier Lindsay exits the team after suffering a minor sprain of his medial ligament, while Aidan Johnson, Jack Billings and Blake Howes have all been omitted.
Billings and Johnson join Jed Adams on the Round 4 emergency list.
The Dees will face the ultimate AFL challenge on Friday night, heading down the highway to battle Geelong at GMHBA Stadium.
The first bounce is set for 7:40pm with live coverage available via the Seven Network, Fox Footy and Kayo Sports.
