THE MELBOURNE Football Club is proud to announce a new two-year partnership with award winning gin distillery 78°.
The deal will see one of Australia’s most awarded gin distilleries become the official Gin Partner of the Demons, including presenting partner of both the AFL and AFLW Best & Fairest.
Sacha La Forgia, founder of Adelaide Hills Distillery where 78° is its core range, said he was excited for two well-recognised brands to be combining forces.
“As a long-time admirer of AFL, the opportunity arose to partner with Melbourne, which is a club that is rich in history and iconic to the city itself,” he told Melbourne Media.
“Our team is excited to be partnering with the Demons, and to be creating a bond between a unique Australian spirit and a unique Australian sport.”
Melbourne’s Chief Commercial Officer, George de Crespigny, echoed La Forgia’s comments, saying the club is thrilled to welcome 78° to the red and blue family.
“It’s great to have a brand such as 78° coming on board for the next two seasons,” he said.
The acclaimed gin most recently took out the prestigious ‘Distiller of the Year’ award at the Icons of Gin Awards in London, while it was also crowned the ‘Best International Gin’ at the American Distilling Institute Awards in 2017.
