Warnock wants a home
By Sam Landsberger

FRUSTRATED at a lack of games and feedback under sacked coach Dean Bailey, Melbourne defender Matthew Warnock will look for a new home at the trade table. The VFL premiership star has played five AFL games since Round 13 last year, despite recording top-five finishes in the Dees' 2008-09 best-and-fairests. Warnock, 27, was enjoying a third bumper season last year when he was suddenly axed from the senior side. "I wasn't told any specific area to work on to get back into the side, but it's pretty clear Melbourne are going down a different direction," he said. "I was drafted at 20, so I started two years later than most do; I'd like to think that's a couple of years at the end of my career I can add on."
