APPEARING in Casey colours for his first game of 2018, Goy Lok’s impressive performance against Geelong has earned him the round four King Gee Trademark Player of the Week.
The 20-year-old had a clear presence on the game and kicked two third quarter goals.
Following the game, coach Jade Rawlings noted Lok had a clear impact in his first game of the year.
“Goy came in for his first game of the season against Geelong and competed well over the four quarters,” Rawlings said.
“He had a big impact after half time when we got ourselves back into the game. Despite not being selected for the first three rounds, Goy has brought a great attitude to the club.”
For round three, the King Gee Trademark Player of the Week award has been given to defender Ryan Morrison.
On VFL debut at Punt Road Oval against Richmond, Morrison successfully took on the task of playing on AFL-listed forward Mabior Chol.
Chol was restricted to two goals, with Morrison’s ability to read the play and rebound from half-back highlighted by Rawlings.
“Ryan played a very good game on debut. After quarter time we put him on Chol and he did a great job down back. He also spoiled the ball well and provided good rebound from defence,” Rawlings said.
Lok and Morrison will receive a $150 King Gee voucher for their efforts
