MELBOURNE has landed in the Northern Territory for some footy action ahead of Sunday’s AFL match.

Friday saw the Dees start with an AFLNT football clinic for primary schools in Alice Springs. Tyla Hanks, Sarah Lampard, Maeve Chaplin, Saraid Taylor and Lily Johnson were all in attendance, helping run drills and get amongst the fun.

The five AFLW players were then joined by Kysaiah Pickett and Shane McAdam in Ltyentye Apurte (Santa Teresa).

Melbourne has a particularly special connection to the community of Ltyentye Apurte, having grassed their footy oval three years ago.

The players enjoyed a kick-to-kick with fans on the oval before the AFLW Kungkas Carnival Grand Final.
