CLAYTON Oliver, Christian Petracca and Angus Brayshaw are all in contention to take out the AFL Players’ Association’s MVP award for 2022, presented by Snaffle.
The three Demons have been nominated for the award, which recognises the best player of the league as voted by his peers.
The trio have produced impressive individuals displays throughout the season, with each player contributing to Melbourne's second-place finish heading into the 2022 Toyota AFL Finals Series.
This year, Oliver has once again been a consistent presence through the Demons' midfield, leading the league for average disposals (33.5), clearances (8.7) and contested possessions (17.7).
Petracca has also continued to be a strength through the centre, while also providing further depth up forward, kicking 19 goals and averaging 8.5 score involvements.
Brayshaw showed the range of his talent this season with a number of new roles across half-back and the midfield. His hard-hitting skills and impeccable marking ability (averaging 7.4) saw him become a standout within the Melbourne line-up.
The recipient of the award is set to be announced at the 2022 AFLPA Awards which will take place on Wednesday 24th August.
The awards night also features Captain of the Year, Most Courageous Player and Best First Year Player, with three Demons receiving nominations for these categories.
