INS – May, Bedford, Weideman
OUTS – Gawn (inj.), Turner (Inj), M.Brown (omitted), Kade Chandler (used medi-sub)
MELBOURNE has opted for three changes heading into its top-of-the-table clash against Brisbane on Thursday night.
Steven May, Toby Bedford and Sam Weideman have all been named to take on the Lions, as the Demons look to make a strong return from their mid-season break.
As announced last week, Max Gawn (ankle) and Daniel Turner (face) will both miss periods of football due to injury, ruling them out of the Round 15 match.
Mitch Brown has been omitted from the starting side but joins Adam Tomlinson, Luke Dunstan and Jayden Hunt on the team’s emergency list.
The Thursday night game will mark a special occasion on the Demons' calendar as the club prepares to celebrate the 2022 Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) Pink Lady Match.
The game celebrates the incredible work that BCNA does in supporting those affected by breast cancer, whether that be those diagnosed, their families, friends or support networks
For those who’d like to show their own support for BCNA can purchase a virtual spot on the ‘G, a campaign that has seen success during COVID times and will now continue into 2022. Melbourne and BCNA are inviting everyone to help fill the Virtual Pink Lady here.
