MELBOURNE is set to celebrate its 18-year partnership with Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) on Thursday night in the 2022 Pink Lady Match.
The blockbuster clash will see Melbourne and Brisbane battle it out at the home of football, in what will be the match of the round with lots of opportunities for fans to enjoy the game day experience.
During the match, the Demons will honour their connection with BCNA by shining a light on the important work they do in supporting those impacted by the disease.
The home side will proudly wear pink socks, while the umpires will wear pink wrist bands, with goal umpires using pink flags for the duration of the match.
Prior to the game, fans will enjoy a live performance by Lachie Gill, winner of The Voice. Gates will open to the general public at 5:30pm, giving supporters enough time to be in their seats ahead of Lachie’s performance, which will begin at approximately 6:50pm.
A Guard of Honour will welcome the Demons on to the ‘G, with breast cancer survivors and families of loved ones lost to the disease among those honoured.
The 2022 Pink Lady Match Ambassador Nicole Armstrong, who is a life-long Demon fan, will also be recognised pre-game, delivering the match ball to the umpires ahead of the top-of-the-table clash.
Nicole was diagnosed with breast cancer in August 2021 and will representing all Australians affected by the disease.

For those who are unable to make it to the ground on Thursday, you can show your support for BCNA by purchasing a virtual place at the ‘G.
