JACK Viney has been referred directly to the tribunal, with no early plea offered, for rough conduct on Adelaide’s Tom Lynch.
Viney collided with Lynch during the first quarter of Melbourne’s thrilling three-point win over the Crows at Adelaide Oval on Saturday.
The incident happened in the first quarter, when Lynch was caught in between Melbourne defender Alex Georgiou and Viney, who both bumped Lynch.
Georgiou and Lynch were subbed out via the concussion rule. Georgiou managed to come back onto the field, but Lynch didn’t play for the rest of the match.
Georgiou was eventually subbed out for young Demon Christian Salem.
