THERE were a few concerns around Christian Petracca’s fitness following a last-second corky in Melbourne’s win over the Swans, but the star midfielder will be unhindered in the lead up to Round 9.

The news is also positive for Jay Lockhart, who is a chance to return to the field this weekend following a minor calf injury.

Aaron vandenBerg (quad) and Jack Viney (toe) remain a couple of weeks away, as the club takes a cautious approach with their respective rehabilitation programs.

Bailey Laurie is on the mend after a fractured eye socket, as too is Joel Smith (knee), with the defender hoping to begin his running program towards the end of this week.
