JUST five days out from Round 3, Melbourne’s opponent has finally been revealed.
With the AFLW fixture forced to change due to COVID-19, the Demons are now set to host North Melbourne at Casey Fields in a Saturday night clash under lights.
The game – which will be broadcast live on Channel Seven – will kick off at 7:10pm, with the Dees set to face their biggest challenge of 2021.
Coming off comprehensive victories over Geelong and St Kilda, the Kangaroos sit second on the AFLW table and look to have the most imposing line-up in the competition.
But the Demons know what it takes to beat the Roos, knocking them over by two points in Round 1 last year – the only game North has lost since 2019.
Melbourne enters the clash with some momentum of its own, defeating Gold Coast and Richmond in the opening two rounds of the season, but it will need to compete for four quarters if it wants to remain undefeated and inside the top six.
Tickets will go on sale on Friday morning, with members receiving access from 10:00am AEDT, before it opens up to the public at 11:00am AEDT.
