JAYDEN Hunt has provided plenty of highlights for Dees fans throughout his career.
From his 70-metre torpedo against Adelaide in 2017 to his four-goal haul in Melbourne’s final game of 2020, the versatile forward sure knows how to put on a show.
And he’ll look to turn it on again next season, after securing a two-year contract extension with the club.
“We are happy to have Jayden sign on for the next two seasons,” General Manager of Football Operations Josh Mahoney told Melbourne Media.
“Whilst only managing six games this season, we see Jayden having a big impact on our team in the future.
“He is a hard worker, who provides us with great flexibility in the team.
“He has played forward, back and wing at different stages for us and is continually developing his game.”
The 25-year-old managed six goals in the last three matches of 2020, adding to his tally of 10 for the year, while his versatility and speed once again proved handy.
Facing injury setbacks early in his career, Hunt has now clocked up 74 AFL games and kicked 41 goals – his best year up forward was 2019, when he finished 10th in the Demons’ Best and Fairest.
Hunt was selected with pick No.57 in the 2013 National Draft, but didn’t make his senior debut until 2016.
