Rodan becomes a Demon
Melbourne has secured Port Adelaide midfielder David Rodan in a trade on Thursday afternoon
The Demons traded selection No. 88 to the Power in exchange for Rodan.
Rodan, who recently turned 29, has played 176 AFL matches, including 65 with Richmond from 2002-06 and 111 with Port Adelaide from 2007-12.
A dual Morrish Medal winner in 2000-01, Rodan was originally drafted by Richmond at No. 33 in the 2001 NAB AFL Draft. The Power then claimed him at No. 86 in the 2006 NAB AFL Draft and he had an immediate impact, playing 25 matches in 2007, including the Grand Final.
Rodan also claimed a NAB AFL Rising Star nomination in 2002, and represented Australia in the International Rules series against Ireland in 2008.
