Round four VFL player review
Melbourne forward line development coach Paul Satterley runs through the club-listed players who played for Casey in round four
VFL (seniors)
Bendigo 20.17 (137) d Casey Scorpions 9.12 (66)
Sunday, April 15, 2pm, Casey Fields
Jamie Bennell: Played across half-back and provided some run and carry, however Jamie had limited impact on the game.
Sam Blease: Sam continued to work on the defensive side of his game and he did use his speed to run down a couple of opponents. Like many of his teammates, Sam struggled to get into the game.
Tom Couch: Tom continued to display very good form and was one of the few players to stay involved for four quarters.
Troy Davis: Troy will learn from playing on a quality VFL player in Matt Little. Whilst he tried hard, Troy was useful when moved forward late in the game to finish with two goals.
Jack Fitzpatrick: Jack has been playing good football, however he was below his recent form and aside from a good goal he had little impact.
Brad Green: Was closely checked by a hard tag, however Brad persisted all day and competed well, finishing with two goals.
Joel Macdonald: Joel played with physicality and worked hard. He played on a wing and in defence.
Daniel Nicholson: Despite missing a number of weeks, Daniel ran hard and took the game on. He kicked a terrific goal, one of the few highlights from the game.
Ricky Petterd: Ricky was our most dangerous forward. He worked hard and competed well in the air. He should have finished with a few goals.
Jai Sheahan: Continued to develop his consistency in all aspects of the game.
Jake Spencer: It was Jake's first game in almost 11 months. It was great to see him back playing and he will only improve with match fitness.
Josh Tynan: Continued to develop and shows signs that he will be good player for our club.
Leigh Williams: In only his second game of VFL football, Leigh showed he was improving as a key forward. He is learning what it takes to compete at this level.
