Sam Blease: Sam played mostly on a wing. Offensively, he provided run and carry. Sam continued to develop his defensive actions.
Tom Couch: Couchy continues to rack up possessions. He’s a strong clearance player, and he’s looking to improve his run and carry and spread.
Troy Davis: Troy defended well. He provided good offensive drive, and was physical and aggressive in the contest.
Jack Fitzpatrick: Jack’s tap work was very good, and he covered the ground really well and used his athleticism to advantage. When he was forward, he hit up really well.
Kelvin Lawrence: Kelvin started well, and his defensive pressure was very good. He missed a couple of shots at goal, but he continued to work on his consistency over four quarters.
Cale Morton: Cale defended well and provided some good offensive drive. Cale was a solid contributor across half-forward.
Jai Sheahan: Jai provided good ball use out of defence. He’s continuing to develop his consistency.
Luke Tapscott: Tappy’s defensive pressure was very good. As you’d expect, he was strong around the contest, and he kicked the footy well. He’s improving with every game he gets.
Leigh Williams: It was Leigh’s first game [for the season] and his first game at VFL level. He’ll be better for the run, and his game sense will improve with the more games he plays. He kicked a really important goal in the last quarter.
