Membership manager Jane McGough looks at the progress of the club's membership so far in 2011

AS WE HEAD into the Easter break our membership total is nearing the 35,000 mark.

Having smashed our previous membership record - before round three this year - the club would like to thank everyone who has joined so far in 2011 and has thrown their support behind the Demons.

Jim Stynes has set a big challenge this year to reach 40,000 members, and with nine rounds still to go before the 2010 cut off, there is still plenty of time for us to continue to strive towards this target.

There are a further 4,500 members from 2010 who are yet to renew for 2011.

We hope that as many as possible get back on board this year.

With eight homes games in Melbourne and another five away games in Melbourne still remaining for 2011, membership offers great value.

Reserved seats are a great option for those busy supporters.

You can turn up just before game time knowing that your seat is there waiting for you.

The following is a summary of current reserved seat membership availability:

Legends - sold out for 2011

Trident - some great seating still available in the Southern Stand

Redlegs - some seating available in the Redlegs area, single seating only in the reserved seating

Demon Seats - Minimal undercover seating available in the Olympic Stand however, good seating is still available both in the open or undercover in the Southern Stand

Remember if you know a Melbourne supporter yet to sign up as a member, dob them in and help us close in on 40,000!
