SEAN Wight’s family and friends invite you to join them at the Bentleigh Club on Saturday June 11 to raise money for lung cancer research.

Although born in Scotland, Wight was one of the first players recruited as part of the Irish experiment.
 
He quickly made his mark in the game, being named in the VFL team of the year in 1987, just his third senior season.
 
A dashing, athletic and exciting defender, Wight played 150 matches for Melbourne from 1985-95.
 
He also represented Victoria in state-of-origin football and played in Melbourne’s 1988 grand final.
 
Tickets are $50 per head or $450 for a table.
