This Monday, junior members from both Melbourne and Collingwood will be given the honour of carrying their club’s premiership cups in a parade around the MCG.

The parade is a tribute to the rich history of rivalry between Melbourne and Collingwood prior to the annual Queen’s Birthday blockbuster between the two teams.

As it stands, Melbourne own 12 premiership cups to Collingwood’s 15. Seven of the cups have been won in grand finals played between Melbourne and Collingwood, six of those belonging to Melbourne.

12 boys and 12 girls aged 8-12 will be selected to carry the 12 Melbourne trophies- and each will be given a full Melbourne playing kit to wear.

If you know a Young Demons member who would like to take part in the parade, register their details here.
