IN 2008, THE MELBOURNE Football Club set about demolishing its debt.

A major part of this, via the Debt Demolition campaign, was the setting up of the Foundation Heroes.

In 2011, more than 400 are now Foundation Heroes, with total donations exceeding $5 million.

This year’s Foundation Heroes dinner raised $800,000, with the theme of player retention. It was a fantastic night, attended by more than 400 people including Foundation Heroes, guests, staff, coaches and the playing list.
