In 2003, he transferred to the Tyabb Junior Football Club and in that year he won the Best & Fairest for the MPJFL. In addition to the League Award, Corey has also won 4 Junior Club Best & Fairests, and has come Runner Up twice. He then continued to win the Best & Fairest with his first year in the Under 18’s with Tyabb FC.
An outstanding achievement of Corey’s was that he represented the Mornington Peninsula Junior Football League’s Interleague teams every year for six years from 2003 in the Under 11’s until 2008 in the Under 16’s.
Corey says that the highlights of his career so far have been playing in two Premiership teams with Tyabb, being selected in the Dandenong Stingrays Squad and playing his first game with the Tyabb Seniors.
Corey’s short term ambition is to get a regular game with the Dandenong Stingrays, but when not playing for them, to be selected in the Tyabb FC’s Senior side and become a regular senior player.
His long term ambition is to play at the highest level he can achieve.
Congratulations to Corey for his Young Gun Nomination.
