By Staff writers
DUAL Melbourne premiership player Bobby McKenzie has died aged 83. McKenzie was a key member of the Demons' 1948 and 1955 flag sides. The mercurial half-forward played 125 games, and kicked 254 goals, from 1948-55, winning the Demons' goalkicking award three times. McKenzie died this morning at Epworth Hospital after a month-long battle with illness. A regular selection for Victoria, McKenzie was regarded as the best half-forward of his era.
