KATE Hore has topped Melbourne’s 2024 AFLW Best and Fairest votes, receiving 12 during Monday night’s count.

The Dees’ captain polled votes across five games, including a trio of three-vote performances.

Hore finished equal 10th on the overall leaderboard and wasn’t the only Demon celebrated for strong displays with eight Melbourne players collecting a total of 32 votes.

Tyla Hanks was next in line behind Hore with the second most votes for the red and blue, polling eight from four games of recognition.

Across the team’s 11 matches, four players were named best afield with Hore, Hanks, Blaithin Mackin and Alyssa Bannan all deemed the top players on six occasions.

Mackin and Eliza McNamara collected their first career votes on the night. Mackin was recognised for her Week 1 and 10 performances while McNamara was recognised during Week 7.

Adelaide’s Ebony Marinoff took home the coveted AFLW Best and Fairest at the end of the night with 23 votes.
