The Melbourne Football Club will begin the search for a new coach of the Casey Scorpions, after Peter German resigned from his position as senior coach earlier this week.
Chris Connolly, General Manager, Football Operations, said, “It is disappointing to lose a coach of Peter German’s standing, as he did a terrific job during the 2009 season. He has decided to take another career opportunity at the Western Bulldogs, and we wish him well in the future.
“We will now commence the search for a suitable candidate to take the Casey Scorpions forward in Season 2010.”
This year, the Scorpions finished sixth on the VFL ladder and bowed out in week one of the finals, following a loss to Collingwood.
