LAST weekend, Akoona Park played host to the annual Berwick and District Agricultural and Horticultural Society Inc’s - Berwick Show.

The Berwick Show features the biggest cattle show in Victoria (outside the Royal Melbourne Show), and one of the biggest Victorian horse shows. The Berwick Show also features a horticultural show, and an arts and crafts exhibition.

This year, the Melbourne Football Club provided a big presence in the show’s program, with player appearances from Tom Scully and Sam Blease, as well as new mascot Checker!

Tom and Sam appeared on stage with Cr Wayne Smith to answer a few questions, and to promote the club’s Casey membership package exclusively for Casey residents, and afterwards stayed to sign autographs for avid Melbourne supporters.
