MELBOURNE Football Club wishes to advise that Brad Green sustained a dislocated finger during Casey’s VFL match on Sunday afternoon.

Following scans and consultation with specialists late on Monday, it was decided that the best course of action was to operate and repair the damage immediately.

Green had surgery today and is expected to miss four weeks of football.

Melbourne Football Manager Josh Mahoney said: “This is a obvious setback for Brad.  However, having surgery now ensures  a full recovery and will allow Brad to  continue to work hard to regain his position in the senior team.”
