CASEY Scorpions have defeated Coburg by 47 points at Casey Fields on Sunday. The Scorps 16.15 (111) defeated Coburg 9.8 (64).

In windy and difficult conditions, Casey took control of the game early on. Youngster Jesse Hogan was again outstanding, kicking four goals and having a strong presence up forward.

Utilities James Sellar and Neville Jetta were impressive. Luke Tapscott, Jetta and Rohan Bail all kicked majors in the Scorpions' win.

Recruit Dom Barry showed plenty throughout the day, with his leg speed a highlight.

Hogan, Sellar and Jetta were among Casey’s best.

Casey was in control of the match from start to finish leading at all major breaks. The second half was difficult for both teams due to the conditions. Casey now sits third on the ladder after a strong first half of the season.

Casey hosts the Northern Blues at Casey Fields next Saturday at 2pm.
