CASEY has defeated Frankston by 14 points at Frankston Oval on Sunday.

The Scorpions 9.14 (68) defeated the Dolphins 6.18 (54).

Inaccuracy in front of goal played a massive part in the match with 15.32 kicked for the game.

But Casey booted four goals to one in the last quarter to seal the win.

However, the undoubted highlight was the form of young-gun Demon Christian Salem, who amassed 34 disposals in an outstanding performance.

Salem, who was the ninth player selected in last year’s NAB AFL Draft, has yet to play a game for the Demons, but continued to impress at VFL level/

Defenders James Strauss and Mitch Clisby were also among Casey’s best.

Big man Mark Jamar booted two goals and Daniel Nicholson also chipped in with a major for the Scorpions.
