GOING in to the mid-season break, Jordie McKenzie took the opportunity to give back to his junior club in his home town of Terang. From Auskick to playing seniors, the Terang/Mortlake Football Club not only shaped Jordie to be the footballer he is today, but also helped him live his dream of playing in a winning premiership in 2008.

Jordie facilitated an Auskick clinic and also ran drills with the senior team, many of whom were his teammates from the ’08 grand final.

“It feels like yesterday that I was back here training with the boys. It’s surreal to be in this position, and to have little Auskick kids asking me for advice."

“Terang Auskick has signed up to be a part of our community program called Demon Friendly Clubs, where we support grassroots footy clubs to develop their players to the best of their ability. The support I’ve received from the Terang community has been overwhelming since day one. It’s great to be able to give back whenever I can.”
