FORWARD Liam Jurrah will miss the next four to six matches with an ankle injury, which he sustained against Sydney Swans.

Jurrah, who played his first AFL match for the season on Saturday, has endured a tough year, given his much-publicised personal issues off-field.

He also suffered a wrist injury pre-Christmas, which sidelined him for the opening five rounds of the season.

Jurrah had two matches with Casey in the VFL, before returning for the SCG clash.

Midfielder Jordan Gysberts will miss a further two to four weeks with a broken jaw.

Gysberts has also had a frustrating season, as an ankle injury sidelined him from rounds two to five.

Defender James Strauss (leg) faces a fitness test this week and first-year Demon Josh Tynan (foot) is another two weeks away.

Trio Max Gawn (knee), Neville Jetta (ankle) and Michael Evans (back) remain sidelined long-term.

Rookie Leigh Williams is still another three weeks away from playing, after he suffered a virus on the brain.

He was forced into an induced coma, but remarkably recovered to the point where he is aiming to play next month.
