NEW BALANCE has given young Demons, who otherwise might not have the chance to own a guernsey, the opportunity to wear the red and blue with pride.

To celebrate AFL Footy Colours Day, the Club visited schools in the City of Casey to distribute the guernseys and celebrate the day that helps support young people with cancer.

The school yard was filled with children representing every team in the AFL. However, only one team had their mascot there with them - Melbourne.  Mascot Chuck circulated the school yard, high fiving students and causing a stir amongst the Collingwood supporters.

Students kept asking what Chuck had in his bag with him. Finally, Chuck revealed the New Balance playing guernseys and presented them to seven lucky students.

The numbers of Collingwood supporters may have outweighed the Melbourne supporters present, but the joy on the young Demons’ faces when they received a free guernsey was as if they had won their own grand final.
