Experienced defender Ricky Henderson was the Crows' major ball-winner in their 30-point win, accumulating 31 touches, 10 marks and six rebound 50s from the backline.
Teenage midfielder Dean Gore, who joined the Crows from Geelong in last year's NAB AFL Trade Period, impressed with 27 disposals (13 contested), eight marks and five tackles.
In injury concerns, defender Andy Otten (25 touches) received a heavy knock in an off-the-ball incident in the last term but managed to see out the game, while goalsneak Troy Menzel didn't return to the field after being concussed in the first term.
In attack, category B rookie and ex-basketballer Hugh Greenwood kicked three goals from his career-high 22 possessions, with rookie forward Jonathon Beech also booting three majors from 19 touches.

Youngster Rhys Mathieson made a successful return to action after recovering from a fractured right cheekbone, collecting an equal game-high 32 disposals and six tackles in the Lions' three-point loss.
The 19-year-old suffered the injury in the NAB Challenge after being on the receiving end of a high bump from GWS forward Jeremy Cameron, which later saw the Giant suspended for four matches.
Utility Sam Mayes responded to his axing from the Lions' clash against the Western Bulldogs by finishing with 32 touches, eight marks, six tackles and a goal.
Young backman Daniel McStay, who played the first three games of the season, was the next best with 28 possessions and 14 marks, while academy product Ben Keays led the goalkicking with three majors.

Jack Silvagni kicked two goals in his VFL debut as the Northern Blues went down to Port Melbourne by 19 points.
Silvagni played a VFL practice match against Richmond and kicked three goals but hasn't been seen since after injuring a hamstring.
It was an otherwise tough day for the son of list manager and club great Stephen.
Key defender Michael Jamison was rock solid in defence for the first three quarters but sat out the final term.
Former Giant Kristian Jaksch kicked three goals to continue his solid form. He delivered another haul of three last round against Geelong.
Dennis Armfield picked up 27 disposals and was best on ground. He was prominent inside the contest. Jason Tutt had 34 disposals and was among the better players while Matthew Dick finished with 25 disposals.

It remains unclear whether axed forward Travis Cloke did enough to earn an immediate recall after his two-goal, five-possession game in the Magpies' 85-point humiliation.
The 29-year-old, who matched up on Bombers backman Nathan Grima, made the most of very limited opportunities up forward in the first term, kicking the Magpies' opening goal of the game followed by another less than five minutes later.
The Pies persisted with playing Cloke in his customary forward position despite the lack of scoring chances and poor ball movement in attack after quarter-time.
Forward-turned-defender Jesse White, who was also omitted for Monday's Anzac Day blockbuster, was kept busy in a defence that was under constant pressure, gathering 24 disposals.

Tagger Ryan Crowley was one of the many positives for the Bombers, collecting 30 touches (15 contested) and booting four goals in their 85-point demolition.
Fellow top-up recruit Jonathan Simpkin was also influential through the midfield with 32 disposals, 10 marks and two goals, while rookie Jake Long, son of Essendon great Michael, had 25 touches and seven marks.
Draftee Mason Redman, the No.30 selection in last year's NAB AFL Draft, kicked three goals, big man Shaun McKernan kicked two goals from his 19 possessions and ruckman Mark Jamar dominated the ruck contests.
The Bombers piled on 17 goals to four after quarter-time in the Anzac Day eve clash.

Experienced ball-winner Matt de Boer led the way for the Dockers-listed players in Peel's 21-point win, gathering a match-high 36 disposals to go with his nine tackles, seven marks, seven inside 50s and a goal.
Omitted midfielders Ed Langdon (29 touches, 11 marks) and Nick Suban (16 touches, five tackles) lined up for the Thunder in a bid to regain some form.
Although Langdon had more influence around the ground, Suban was also useful at times after sitting on the interchange bench for most of the opening quarter.
Second-year midfielder Connor Blakely, who was drafted with pick No.34 in 2014, had 29 possessions and kicked a goal in his return from a three-week layoff with a broken toe, while onballer Tendai Mzungu had 22 touches.

Billie Smedts impressed in his first game back from a left shoulder reconstruction in Geelong's 74-point win against the Roosters.
Smedts finished with 18 disposals and five clearances playing across half-forward. His pre-season was limited after he hurt his shoulder in January.
He copped a few heavy hits throughout the game but pulled up fine and will build his form in the VFL.
George Horlin-Smith collected 20 disposals, five clearances and kicked a goal despite being tagged from the opening bounce.
Horlin-Smith, 23, started the game as an inside midfielder before moving to a wing for the next two quarters.
The windy conditions made it difficult for big men and Nathan Vardy struggled up forward, but looked better in the ruck.
Vardy played between 30 and 40 per cent of game time as a ruckman, while Irish rookie Padraig Lucey was the primary ruck option.
Michael Luxford had 18 disposals and kicked a goal, with his best work done in the contest. He played largely as a high half-forward.

Just days after being elevated to the Giants' senior list, 188cm forward Sam Reid kicked six of his side's eight goals in the 24-point loss.
Midfielder Jacob Hopper, who accumulated a match-high 38 touches last weekend, continued his good recent run and booted a goal, while big man Tim Mohr and defender Nick Haynes were also among the Giants' best.

Matthew Spangher got through unscathed in his comeback from a calf injury as the Hawks beat the Lions by eight points.
Spangher spent about half the game on the field. He finished with 14 disposals and five marks as a defender.
Daniel Howe was among the best players, picking up 29 disposals and slotting two goals. Dallas Willsmore also performed well in a role at half-back.
Jonathan O'Rourke played as an inside midfielder and collected 14 disposals and kicked a goal in a scrappy game, with his leadership impressive.
Jack Fitzpatrick played in the ruck and forward line and kicked two goals.

After being named in the original 25-man squad to take on Richmond, midfielder Christian Petracca continued to mount his case for an AFL debut, collecting 26 disposals in Casey's 44-point loss.
The 20-year-old was joined by fellow ball-winner Jack Trengove in staking a claim for a place in the Demons' best 22, gathering a team-high 30 possessions and booting two goals.
Draftee Liam Hulett, the No.46 selection in last year's NAB AFL Draft, led the goalkicking with four majors, while rookie onballer Viv Michie was also in the thick of the action with 28 touches.

Fellow omitted midfielder Brendon Ah Chee (22 touches) and onballer Sam Colquhoun (25 touches) rounded out Port's leading ball-getters, but neither demanded a senior recall.

Tall forward Ben Griffiths made an encouraging comeback from an ankle injury he suffered in the Tigers' VFL season opener a fortnight ago.
The 24-year-old kicked a goal in the first term and was named among his side's best players alongside mature-age rookie Adam Marcon and omitted midfielder Andrew Moore, who made his debut for the Tigers last weekend against West Coast.
Rookie Mabior Chol, the No.30 selection in last year's NAB AFL Rookie Draft, drilled four goals in a solid performance up forward.
Despite Griffiths' successful return from injury, it was an otherwise disappointing day for the Tigers, as Frankston ended its 24-game losing streak with a 13-point win.

Jade Gresham had 31 disposals and kicked a goal in Sandringham's 28-point win against the Dogs.

Tom Curren was typically excellent and finished with 32 disposals and three goals. He was involved in many of the Zebras' attacking forays.
Tim Membrey, Cam Shenton and Lewis Pierce each had a pair of goals.
Brodie Murdoch collected 26 disposals.
Pierce spent most of the day up forward with Billy Longer and Jason Holmes sharing ruck duties.
Defender Hugh Goddard played well after suffering concussion a fortnight ago against Box Hill.
Blake Acres did not take to the field after being named as an emergency for the senior team.
