COACH Paul Roos says he’s proud to be associated with Melbourne’s BCNA partnership.
Roos said his involvement with the BCNA extended to his days when he was a coach with the Sydney Swans.
“It’s 10 years [of partnership with BCNA] for the Melbourne Football Club,” Roos said.
“I remember when I was coaching at Sydney, we did a similar thing up there, so I’ve had a long association personally with them [BCNA].
“If nothing else we’re there raising awareness, because we all have busy lives and get back into our little pockets. Some [people] get personally affected by breast cancer, others by extension but today is more about the general awareness and keeping it on the agenda.
“There’s something like 16,000 women who get diagnosed[each] year, so it’s a big issue and if we can keep it on the agenda, keep raising funds and keep raising awareness … BCNA do a fantastic job.”
