THE MELBOURNE Football Club is seeking applications to fill the newly created position of Digital Media Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Communications Team, specifically in the area of Fan Development.

The successful applicant will primarily be responsible for producing the club’s online communications via our website, email and social media (Twitter, Facebook etc).  The fast paced nature of the football industry requires the person to be well organized and flexible in their approach to work ad-hoc when needed.  Knowledge of football is useful but knowing how to communicate to a diverse customer base across a number of platforms is most highly regarded.

The key areas of responsibility for this position are:
- Determine, conceptualise, develop and deliver digital media projects.
- Develop and produce all direct emails sent from the club.
- Be responsible for the club’s social media presence to increase fan engagement and build our database.
- Write marketing collateral for consumer areas of the club, particularly to promote membership, merchandise and fan development initiatives.
- Assist with delivering promotional activities at home games to create an interactive experience for fans, which boosts attendances.
- Ensuring communications are segmented appropriately to maximise effectiveness.
- Maximise online revenue streams, particularly in relation to membership, merchandise and ticketing.
- Build the club’s database, particularly in new markets, and ensure that new data is converted into meaningful contacts.
- Analysis of marketing campaigns
- Stay up to date on new and emerging media technologies

Reporting to the fan development manager, you will work closely with the club’s content team and consumer areas.  As football is a weekend sport, you will be required to work some weekends and possibly travel to some interstate games.
