The two sporting greats spoke of their battle with cancer and provided great inspiration to each other.
Armstrong spoke highly of Stynes in his Tweet.
“Just had a great chat with Jim Stynes. He's hanging tough and changing lives everyday through @wearereach. #inspirational,” Armstrong Tweeted.
Stynes was also delighted to meet the cycling great.
“Took a trip today w Jules 2Adelaide 4 great chat w Lance Armstrong, what an inspirational being,” Stynes Tweeted.
