INS – Paxman, Gay, Pearce, Colvin
OUTS – Lampard (inj.), Watt, Wilson, Fitzsimon (omitted)
NARRM will be bolstered by the return of a quartet of Demons ahead of this Saturday’s top-four clash against North Melbourne.
Paxy Paxman re-enters the starting line-up after two weeks on the sidelines with concussion and will add further experience to the Demons’ midfield.
Maddi Gay and Gab Colvin both come into the 21 after missing Round 7 and are set to inject strength and depth into Narrm’s defence.
The final inclusion is experienced Demon Lauren Pearce, with the talented ruck returning from a minor shoulder injury sustained in Round 6.
Sarah Lampard is set for a stint on the sidelines with Marcus Wagner, GM Football Operations and AFLW, providing an update on the Demon.
“Sarah experienced some pain in her wrist following Sunday’s game and with further assessment, it was revealed she had sustained a fracture,” Wagner told Narrm Media.
“Following consultation with a specialist, Sarah underwent a procedure on her wrist yesterday, which will unfortunately see her miss at least the next three matches.
“While this is disappointing news, particularly given the strong and consistent season Sarah is having, we know she will attack her rehab with the utmost professionalism, with the hope of returning for a Finals campaign."
Megan Fitzsimon, Charlotte Wilson and Rhiannon Watt have been omitted but will make up Narrm’s emergency list.
This weekend’s match will see the league celebrate the second week of Indigenous Round with the Demons remaining rebranded as Narrm Football Club.
The Narrm initiative, first introduced in 2022, looks to celebrate Australia’s Indigenous history, while generating healthy and productive conversations among the football community.
The Demons will pull on their 2023 Indigenous guernsey for the second time across the two-week period, designed by Nyul Nyul Saltwater Man, Lowell Hunter.
