MAEVE Chaplin and Saraid Taylor will face tests this week as they look to be available for selection in Round 2.
Chaplin (concussion) and Taylor (foot) were ruled out from Melbourne’s Round 1 clash with their respective injuries, but the club’s AFLW Head of High-Performance Sam Batterton said the two were tracking well towards a return to full training.
“[Maeve’s] completed a solid session on Saturday and will full train today,” Batterton told Melbourne Media.
“So, as long as she gets through that, she’ll be available for selection for this weekend’s game.
“[Saraid] resumed running late last week.
“She’ll be training with the group somewhat today and then will tick off more towards the back end of this week.
“So, if all goes to plan, she will be available for selection this weekend.”
