SEASON OPENER
Melbourne will begin their Premiership defence on Friday night against Collingwood in the NAB AFLW Season 8 opening match. Fans are encouraged to be in their seats at 6:30pm to watch as Melbourne unfurl their Season 7 Premiership flag with former premiership captain Daisy Pearce returning for the special event.
Five-time chart topper and nine-time ARIA Award winning singer-songwriter Missy Higgins will perform in the pre-match entertainment at the opening game of the 2023 NAB AFLW Season on Friday September 1.
TICKETING
Fans are encouraged to get down to Ikon Park from 4pm, when gates open, before the first bounce at 7:20pm. Tickets to the game can be found here.
MATCH INFORMATION
Patrons attending IKON Park for the NAB AFLW Rnd 1 Match Melbourne v Collingwood are encouraged to use public transport.
There will be limited public parking available at the ground and limited off-street parking in Royal Parade due to watermain replacement works.
Public Transport Victoria will be proving additional tram services on Royal Parade and Lygon St.
Tram
No. 19 Tram (City-North Coburg) runs from the city to Royal Parade Walker St / Stop 16, then 3 minutes walk to Ikon Park.
Train
Take the Upfield Line to Royal Park Station, then 13 minutes walk to Ikon Park.
Bus
Route 123 Bus to Walker St / Stop 16, then 3 minutes walk from Ikon Park.

Premiership Flag Unfurl
Melbourne will unfurl its inaugural premiership flag ahead of its Round 1 clash against Collingwood, with former premiership captain Daisy Pearce returning for the special event. Fans encouraged to be in their seats by 6:30pm ahead of the special unveiling.
