MELBOURNE will conduct a review of its players and coaching stocks during the mid-season break, according to Paul Roos.

Speaking on Dee TV’s Roos’ Views, the coach said the club’s bye next weekend would give the Demons the opportunity to take stock of their season so far.

“Having now seen nine games, after the weekend, we can sit back and have a really good look at the list and where we’re at and the player group,” Roos said.

“We can even make an assessment of the coaching group and where the improvements have [been] made and how we get better.

“It’s a good breather to take and we’ll just take stock and [do] a bit of an audit – a club audit – to see where we’re at. Then you reload again for the next set of games.”

Roos said the Demons will have four days off from Thursday to Sunday following their clash against Richmond.

“It’s a bit of a break to freshen up – it’s a long year, so the players will get a good break and then they’ll come back ready to play Port [Adelaide in Alice Springs in round 11],” he said.
