MELBOURNE has launched a new Blockbuster membership, giving members premium access to the club’s ANZAC Day Eve and King’s Birthday matches in 2023.

This year marks the first time since 2018 that Melbourne has hosted both matches at the MCG in the same season, after the 2020 fixtures were cancelled and the 2021 Queen’s Birthday clash was relocated to the SCG due to Covid.

With 2023 marking its eighth instalment, the ANZAC Day Eve clash between the Demons and Tigers is quickly becoming one of the most iconic spectacles on the footy calendar, known for its spine tingling lights-off pre-match experience in honour of Australia’s service men and women.

Though Melbourne and Collingwood have faced each other on the Queen’s Birthday public holiday for over 20 years now, the contest took on greater significance in 2014 with the inception of the annual Big Freeze, championed by former Melbourne Coach Neale Daniher.

The pre-match entertainment, that sees well-known football and media personalities plunge into an ice pool to raise awareness and funds for Fight MND as part of the pre-match entertainment, has quickly become one of the most anticipated events in football.

With Melbourne and its opponents Richmond and Collingwood all perched inside the top eight after three rounds, the on-field battles promise to be just as spectacular.

The blockbuster membership includes premium level 1 seating on the wing at both matches, as well as all the usual member benefits, including exclusive offers from club partners and 10% off Demon Shop purchases.
