MELBOURNE has attacked its first official session of 2023 with a hard-hitting time trial in the blazing sun on Gosch's Paddock.

The full squad was put through its paces as the mercury climbed close to 30 and the Demons ran laps of their training ground, split into groups as the players looked to better their 2022 times from earlier in the pre-season.

The time trial was followed by full ground drills as the players jumped straight back into the thick of things.
