MELBOURNE has welcomed key forward Josh Schache in a trade with the Western Bulldogs on Wednesday afternoon.
The Demons secured the 25-year-old on the final day of the Continental Tyres AFL Trade Period in a deal which saw them part ways with a future fourth-round selection.
Schache, who arrives with 72 senior games and 78 goals to his name, is set to provide further versatility to Melbourne’s list, having played several roles across his seven-year career.
“We’re pleased to welcome an experienced and versatile player in Josh to the club,” Melbourne List Manager Tim Lamb told Melbourne Media.
“We have seen him play a number of roles over the years, with both Brisbane and the Western Bulldogs, and we look forward to seeing what he can produce in the red and blue.”
