Speaking at AAMI Park on Thursday, Clark said he couldn’t wait to start working with the 2010 Collingwood premiership when he returns from his off-season break in mid-November.
“We’ll all squeeze in there [in the forward line],” he said.
“It should be good and I’m really looking forward to it.
“I’m looking forward to meeting him and it’s very exciting.”
Clark said he would soak up as much information as possible about Dawes’ success at Collingwood.
“He’s played in a successful team and played in Grand Finals, so I’m looking to picking his brain about that stuff,” he said.
“I know that he works very hard, so that’ll definitely add to the group.”
Clark said he was looking forward to working with Melbourne’s other recruits, as “they’ll all add their different things”.
“Young Jesse Hogan came in last night (Wednesday) and he’s living with me at the moment, so that’s exciting to have another Perth boy with me,” he said.
“I’m showing him the ropes and that’s just something different for me, so I’m enjoying that side of things.
“He’s a big boy for his age … we’ll just ease him into the footy and he’s still only 17, so he’s got a lot to learn and he’s very excited to be here.”
