VFL: Casey v Brisbane for Grand Final spot
The Casey Demons will play host to the Brisbane Lions in the 2022 Smithy’s VFL Preliminary Final on Saturday.
Only three weeks ago, the Lions handed our boys their first loss of 2022 in a game where Casey could not get all their systems working to make a real impact.
A week later, Casey had defeated Sydney by 47 points to advance to the Preliminary, whilst the Lions suffered almost the same margin loss to fellow Queensland powerhouse Southport by 49-points and just survived a wayward Carlton outfit to gain their spot in the Preliminary final.
The Demons will be looking to make amends for their poor performance up north, hopeful that a home ground advantage and crowd will also help them over the line into next week's Grand Final.
The action starts at 1:10 pm, Saturday 10th September.
